Every Thursday we run a free Women Only FREE English Class and Friendship Group. All kinds of women attend, but refugees and asylum seekers are particularly welcome. The group is small and friendly and providing a vital service for the women.
Every week we like someone to be at the class as a ‘friend’. Just chatting to the women, making cups of tea and being another friendly face. The teacher, Sandra, does all the teaching.
This role would suit a woman who can be free from 9.45-12.15 on some Thursdays (perhaps up to three times a term), who speaks fluent English and is good at connecting across cultures.
