About Us 

A beacon on the hill

St Catherine’s is a Christian community based on Telegraph Hill and part of the Church of England. We are a warm‑hearted, diverse and inclusive Anglican church serving the parish of Hatcham in South East London. As liberal Anglicans, we seek to embrace everyone and to celebrate the life and gifts of God in every person, without judgement. Word and sacrament are at the heart of our worship, enriched by a strong choral tradition.

St Catherine’s stands at the very top of Telegraph Hill, serving the local communities of New Cross Gate, Brockley and Nunhead.

The church is open throughout the week.

Our main service is held every Sunday at 10am, with an additional 8am service on the first Sunday of each month. Morning Prayer takes place Monday to Wednesday at 9am, and the Thursday Eucharist is at 9.30am. All are welcome.

Over the coming months, we plan to expand and diversify our services of prayer and worship, widen the range of our events, and deepen our engagement with our local community.
